






It is understood that from July 18 to July 24, 2025, the weekly composite operating rate of lead-acid battery enterprises in the five provinces covered by SMM was 71.86%, representing a WoW increase of 0.9 percentage points.
As the month-end approached, there was no significant improvement in end-use consumption in the lead-acid battery market, while order situations varied among battery enterprises of different types. The main increase this week came from e-bike lead-acid battery enterprises. As the traditional peak season approached, producers' enthusiasm for operating improved relatively, with the operating rate of some enterprises rebounding to around 90%, driving up the weekly operating rate. The consumption in the automotive lead-acid battery market was mixed. On one hand, domestic end-use consumption was weak, and producers produced based on sales. On the other hand, the impact of tariffs varied, with export orders weakening for some enterprises, maintaining an operating rate of 70-80%, while others rushed to export before tariff implementation, with production lines already operating at full capacity.
